On February 23, Gloria Estefan, Cuban American singer, songwriter and winner of several GRAMMY® awards, and her husband Emilio Estefan, Latin entrepreneur and producer, visited with patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
During their visit, Gloria and Emilio toured the campus and research labs, where they met with doctors and clinical staff. They also visited Target House, a long-term housing facility located near St. Jude where patient families live while undergoing treatment. At Target House, the Estefans played board games with St. Jude patients and shared stories about their musical career.
“I had already been committed to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for the past few years because of their stellar reputation and unwavering support of families facing devastating childhood catastrophic illnesses. But after having personally visited their incredible compound in Memphis I am even more determined to be a part of their success stories and will redouble my efforts to help them in any way I can,”said Gloria Estefan.
